Photo Retouching, Repair and Restoration with Photoshop Elements (M02)

Course Description
In this intermediate level, all-lecture course, we examine how you can use special techniques in Photoshop Elements to repair and restore old photographs. We also spend some time examining retouching techniques for making people look their very best.
While there are no lab exercises, students are encouraged to bring in a laptop if they wish to follow along. Exercises will be available for those who wish to further explore this exciting topic on their own.
The primary application used to demonstrate the techniques in this course is Adobe Photoshop Elements version 6 for both Windows and Macintosh. Most of the techniques will be applicable to versions as early as version 4. Adobe Photoshop CS3 will also be used occasionally to demonstrate advanced possibilities.
IMPORTANT: This course is aimed at the INTERMEDIATE Photoshop Elements user, and it is expected that the student be familiar with the basic photo editing operations of Photoshop Elements. If you are new to Photo editing and are a Windows user, please register for the "Digital Photo Editing with Photoshop Elements" (M01) course offered on Mondays at 10:30 AM. If you are a Mac user, we have a new beginner’s course, “Photoshop Elements for Macintosh” (N10) offered on Tuesdays, at 2:00 PM.
